UV radiation is universal, unrelenting, and can never be completely eliminated. Not only does it burn human skin but
it burns the exterior painted surfaces of vehicles including aircrafts, boats, and trailers. This process is called “oxidation”.
The rubber seals and bumpers turn white, dry out, and become hard as a rock.
The vinyl trim will also turn white and eventually crack.
The hard plastic (door jams, side mirrors, trim) will also react similarly to paint.
